Andrea Fappani and Tish Fappani met in 1998 while riding reining horses in Arizona. They were married in May of 2002 and quickly immersed themselves in the reining industry, becoming involved in every aspect of the business.
Andrea and Tish consider themselves extremely fortunate to work together as a team, raise a family, and be part of the horse community they love. In 2024, they purchased Rancho Oso Rio, located just a few blocks from their ranch and home in Scottsdale. Working so close to home made it easy for their boys to be part of daily ranch life—and for family life to remain at the center of everything they do.
As the boys have grown older and both become full-time athletes in their respective fields, home remains the place where they come together for meaningful time as a family. One of Andrea’s favorite pastimes is cooking, bringing Italian culture and food into his home and sharing it with friends and family. With a lifelong passion for both horses and motorsports, having two sons fully immersed in that same lifestyle has created a uniquely close and rewarding relationship.
Tish embraces it all. When she’s not working at the ranch or riding her own horses, she’s often on the road with Jeremy, traveling to motocross events across the United States—supporting her family with the same dedication and enthusiasm she brings to every part of their life together.
Tish Fappani
NRHA $1 Million Rider | Breeder | Owner | Industry Leader
From the very beginning, Tish Fappani’s journey with horses has been defined by dedication, focus, and a deep respect for competition. Growing up alongside her mother at horse shows, Tish learned early that horsemanship and winning both require commitment and discipline.
In 1994, she showed her first reining horse, Sheza Gold Command, at the Santa Barbara National in the 14–18 Youth division. It didn’t take long for her to find her way to the winner’s circle at major events, eventually earning four NRHA Level 4 Non Pro Futurity titles and building an impressive list of accomplishments. Over the course of her career, Tish has shown 47 reining horses, establishing her own legacy in the sport while supporting her husband, Andrea Fappani, and raising their two sons, Luca and Jeremy.
On August 27, Tish reached an extraordinary milestone—surpassing $1 million in NRHA Non Pro earnings. That achievement came in Tulsa, where she tied to win both the 100X Non Pro Futurity and The Invitational Non Pro Futurity aboard Tight Genes, a horse especially close to her heart. Not only did Tish compete and win on him, but he is out of Joes Genes, a mare she bred, raised, and rode to $180,826 in earnings. That full-circle moment reflects everything her career represents: vision, patience, and long-term commitment.
Today, Tish stands as a $1 Million Rider, $1 Million Breeder, and $1 Million Owner—a rare achievement that speaks to her involvement at every level of the sport.
Beyond the show pen, Tish plays a vital role at Fappani Performance Horses. She manages the office operations and oversees the stallions “Journey” Spooks N Sparks which she owns and “Gambler” All Bettss Are Off for Pat Warren. She is also responsible for the breeding program and long-term care of the horses—managing broodmares, foals, young stock, and retired horses with a focus on health, preparation, and longevity long before they ever enter training.
Outside the ranch, Tish spends many weeks of the year on the road with her son Jeremy, serving as his right-hand support, alongside his mechanic, and coach as he pursues his own motocross career. Balancing family, business, and horses requires constant focus, and Tish handles it with quiet leadership and a competitve purpose.
What many don’t see is the role she plays behind the scenes—ensuring strong communication between the family, the business, and Fappani Performance Horses’ customers. She takes pride in celebrating the successes of others, supporting the team, and making sure everything happens in the right order and for the right reasons.
Tish Fappani’s impact goes far beyond titles and earnings. She is a steady foundation of the program—bringing consistency, integrity, and care to every part of the operation while helping shape the future of Fappani Performance Horses.
